It's somehow already time for another update! This newsletter is packed with exciting progress, including the official start of production on the brand-new Plague Doctor Collection. Thank you all so much for the incredible response to this launch! We can't wait to get these pieces into your hands.
We've also teamed up with Nina Fresa to bring her popular Strawberry Bag into production again-- revamped and better than ever! This fruity bag will be launching for open pre-order this Wednesday, August 5th!
Lastly, don't forget to vote for your favorite designs on the Interest Checks page! We will be reaching the first 6 month milestone on August 9th, which signifies the end of the voting period for more than half the ICs, and a distressing amount of designs have not yet reached the 2500 vote threshold, so if you've been meaning to vote, now is the time!

The Spanish Moon Moth Dress' Final Approved Sample
The Spanish Moon Moth Dresses are officially in production! These dresses are now in the sewing phase, and based on the current progress, we can tighten up our estimates to a shorter range of mid to late-August.

The Mothman Dress' Final Approved Sample
The Mothman Dresses are lagging slightly behind their Spanish Moon counterparts, but still expected to begin fulfillment in late-August! These dresses are currently in the embroidery stage.

The Damask Mushroom Bikini's custom printed fabric arrived to our manufacturing partner earlier this week, which puts our fulfillment estimate at late-August.

The Vintage Storybook Dress production is facing a slight delay of about a week, while our production partner is waiting on a shipment of one of the fabrics used in this design. This puts our new estimate for the beginning of fulfillment at mid-September

The Mothman Cropped Jacket's Final Approved Sample (Factory Photo)
Production is progressing on the Mothman Cropped Jackets, and they are now in the sewing phase! Our current ESD range of September is looking very doable based on the rate of production.

Production has begun on the Peacock Moth Cropped Jacket, and fabric printing is underway. Our current ESD on this project is set for October 2026.

The Dawn & Dusk Jacket blew past our wildest expectations to become a best seller! Because of these, we purchased more units in anticipation of a restock after pre-order fulfillment!
Production has now begun on this jacket, and we currently estimate these pieces will be ready to ship in mid-October.

We discovered the fabric chosen for the Glorp Cat Cropped Jacket and Skirt Set was apparently prone to bleeding, with the white turning beige from dye transfer. We have since chosen a new fabric (with the same fiber content and look) that does not have this problem.
Due to this issue, production has had to restart using the new fabric, and the ESD has to be changed as a result. The new estimate places fulfillment in October.

The Plague Doctor Dress officially graduated from PSPO to a Limited Pre-Order last week, and y'all obliterated the extra stock we purchased!
Production has begun, starting first with the underdress while we work out the final few fit adjustments in the plus sizes for the capelet and overskirt.

Our new hat factory has finished embroidery the Bread Cap's prototype, and we hope to see the finished sample by the time the next newsletter rolls around.

Pre-Sample Pre-Orders (PSPOs)
The new Love-Me Dress fabric colors are much better, and far truer to the concept art! Once this sample arrives we can finally move forward past the color matching phase and review the fit. Our hope is that this factory has been able to solve the restrictiveness of the sleeves.
This project is definitely proving to be one of the most complex we've attempted, and unfortunately it's looking like the ESD is going to have to move again. Assuming it will take around a month and a half to work out all remaining kinks in the development process and a week for open pre-order, that puts production beginning in mid August.
Allotting roughly 3 months for production, the likely soonest fulfillment window now sits in mid-November. We know that is a significant jump, and we welcome any customer no longer interesting in waiting for this project to reach out to us at support@mochipan.com and we will happily refund your order.

The Apothecary Dress sample we received is close to being approvable, with some fit adjustments needed for both the Dress and Cape. We are likely ordering unembroidered next samples to speed up the process.
Additionally, it's become clear that with the likely length of production on this project, a Summer fulfillment window is no longer tenable. The ESD has been updated to Fall 2026 to account for production time.
