A structured milk-maid style top with shirring and laces in the back for adjustability. The zipper allows both sides to come apart for ease of putting on and taking off the top. When worn, the zipper sits neatly in its own zipper garage.

This garment is thoughtfully crafted from a blend of 70% viscose and 30% cotton, combining natural fibers to create a fabric that feels soft, breathable, and effortlessly comfortable while maintaining a refined, elevated drape.

Viscose (70%): Viscose provides the garment with its smooth, fluid hand and beautiful drape. Made from regenerated cellulose fibers, it offers a silky-soft feel against the skin while remaining highly breathable. Viscose excels at holding dye, resulting in rich, even color and a polished appearance that moves gracefully with the body.

Cotton (30%): Cotton adds structure, durability, and a natural softness to the blend. Known for its breathability and comfort, cotton helps balance the fluidity of viscose, giving the fabric a more substantial feel while remaining lightweight and gentle on the skin. It also enhances the garment’s wearability for everyday use.

Care Instructions:

The Story Behind the Piece

If you've spent a good amount of time looking at our stuff, you'll notice we have a lot of ambitious and complex designs in the queue. If we only send all of our super complicated stuff to our factory, it will cause a few problems:

1. Congestion in the sampling queue - A complex sample can take DAYS to make, versus a “simple” one only taking 2 or so hours

2. Low profitability for the factory - Fewer things produced in the same amount of time means less profit and higher operation costs overall

    

A lot of the complex designs take SEVERAL samples to get right. As a result, to limit the burden we place on our own factory we try to sew in a few “simple” (in comparison) designs where we can. This helps the factory stay profitable and keeps progress moving forward, and these more simple designs do not take much effort away from the more complex ones in the long run.

Long story short, it's important to balance a lot of different kind of designs for a happy factory, and that's where the Damask Mushroom Sets come in to play.

One of the major hurdles for these more “simplistic” styles is to still keep them magical and whimsical. I truly want each piece made by us to be unique and interesting in at least one way. For this set, we decided on a classic silhouette, but with an extremely dramatic skirt in terms of sheer twirling-potential, and a unique damask mushroom pattern. This pattern was drawn up by Anri, who is, frankly, a genius when it comes to line work like this.

I have been majorly into French aesthetics lately, and so I wanted to create a damask pattern based off of one of my favorite other aesthetics - mushrooms. I didn't have any specific examples for Anri to follow, but she blew this design out of the water in my opinion.
