Howdy MochiFam, 

Mochipan Pre-Order Updates Newsletter #47 is absolutely packed with info about new releases, restocks, pre-order fulfillment, and updates, so buckle up! First off, the Plague Doctor Dress photoshoot just wrapped up, and you can check out a sneak peek below.

We have exciting Pre-Order news-- all Fleur Dresses (Obsidian Rose), Fleur Skirts (Carmine Rose & Obsidian Rose), and Cotton Bloomers (Carmine Rose & Obsidian Rose) not waiting on a separate pre-order have now shipped! If you have not received tracking, and your order does not contain a separate pre-order not yet ready to ship, feel free to reach out to us and we'll look into it.

The Sporty Coquette Dress is also preparing to begin fulfillment this week, along with the Aurora Borealis Button Down Shirt and the Woodland Shorts, the latter of which we hope to be saying for the final time!

The most exciting thing happening today is the launch of a collection more than half a year in the making-- the Hydrangea Collection!! Click the hyperlink to see the stunning 6-piece collection! We've also launched our first Design With Mochi contest winner's project: the Dawn & Dusk Jacket by @Thaisibean! We're extremely proud of how this celestial collab turned out, and we hope you'll take a look!

Mushroom Dress lovers-- don't forget to order a pair of Mushroom Bloomers! Our Organza Bloomers and Black Mushroom Skirt Pre-Orders are also open until July 9th at 7pm PDT.

Speaking of new pre-orders, we've taken some of your feedback into account, and will be slightly changing how the pre-orders work: Once the initial pre-order window closes, we will place our production order with the manufacturer based on the demand received during those first two weeks. After that, listings will transition into a limited pre-order, where additional orders may be placed while inventory from our production run remains. Once those units are spoken for, the collection will sell out. Like before, if a design has enough demand, restocks are always a possibility. We hope this new method will be more beneficial for our customers!

Lastly, don't forget to check out all our new Interest Checks! There are a ton of designs to vote for, including our Wizard/Witch Crow, Gothic Lantern, and Fantasy Healer Dove ICs!

Our new hat factory is has found a fabric to match the Bread Cap's approved prototype, and is creating their own sample to ensure it matches what we promised to our customers. While we do not yet have a estimated shipping date from them at this time, we are working to ensure that production can begin as soon as possible.

The Sporty Coquette Dresses are now en route to our warehouse! Fulfillment is set to begin later this week, and we are so excited to start sending out these fun, flirty dresses!

We now have photos to show of the Vintage Storybook Dress red variant. We're also happy to announce this dress will have pockets! Production has now begun, and we currently estimate these dresses will ship in late-August.

The Goddess Sleepwear Collection faced a delayed start when we discovered the blue fabric was out of stock, but the fabric has now been secured, and production has begun. We currently estimate these styles will be ready to ship in mid-September.

The four newest Moth Cardigans have begun production, and we expect them to take roughly 2 months. This puts the fulfillment window in late-August to early-September, just in time for cooler weather to begin thinking about rolling in.

(Pre-Sample Pre-Order) Woodland Shorts - Mochipan

Finally some good news regarding the Woodland Shorts! All of these woodsy garments have officially been checked and approved, and we have spent the last week reaching out to our  customers to confirm shipping addresses. Fulfillment is set to begin July 8th!

If you have not received or responded to our address confirmation emails and need to change your shipping address, please reach out to us ASAP at support@mochipan.com to ensure your shorts go to the right place!

Official Product Photography of the Aurora Borealis Suit Vest and Jacket

The Aurora Borealis Jacket and Vest encountered an issue regarding printing-- when our main factory received the printed panels, it was discovered the printing factory scaled the panels incorrectly. They have since remade the printed panels and are now onto the embroidery phase. The new ESD for the Sets (Jacket, Vest, and Tie) is late-August.

The Aurora Borealis Button Down Shirt and Slacks do not contain printing, and thus have not been affected by this delay. The Shirts are undergoing quality checks our warehouse, and the Slacks are on track to be ready for fulfillment by mid-July.

Production is progressing on the Mothman Cropped Jackets, and they are now in the sewing phase! Our current ESD range of September is looking very doable based on the rate of production.

Pre-production on the Peacock Moth Cropped Jacket is finally wrapping up, and fabric printing is set to begin! Our current ESD on this project is set for October 2026.

The Spanish Moon Moth Dress' Final Approved Sample

The Spanish Moon Moth Dresses are officially in production! These dresses are currently in the embroidery stage, and based on the current progress, we can tighten up our estimates to a shorter range of mid to late-August.

The Mothman Dress' Final Approved Sample

We discovered the fabric chosen for the Glorp Cat Cropped Jacket and Skirt Set was apparently prone to bleeding, with the white turning beige from dye transfer. We have since chosen a new fabric (with the same fiber content and look) that does not have this problem.

Due to this issue, production has had to restart using the new fabric, and the ESD has to be changed as a result. The new estimate places fulfillment in October.

If this timeline does not work for you,  we welcome customers to reach out and let us know. We'd be happy to refund your order or ship in advance any items in orders waiting on these sets at no additional cost.

Pre-Sample Pre-Orders (PSPOs)

 


We have now finalized the new Love-Me Dress fabric color choices, shown above, next to the previous sample. A new sample utilizing this fabric is currently in production and expected to take 2-3 weeks. 

This project is definitely proving to be one of the most complex we've attempted, and unfortunately it's looking like the ESD is going to have to move again. Assuming it will take around a month and a half to work out all remaining kinks in the development process and a week for open pre-order, that puts production beginning in mid August.

Allotting roughly 3 months for production, the likely soonest fulfillment window now sits in mid-November. We know that is a significant jump, and we welcome any customer no longer interesting in waiting for this project to reach out to us at support@mochipan.com and we will happily refund your order.

Final Approved Mask Sample

We are unbelievably excited to announce the Plague Doctor Dress sample has been approved! The photo shoot just wrapped up, and our photographer truly outdid herself this time. 

The XL sample has arrived and is undergoing a review early this coming week. Pending those results we will update the listing with official size charts and product photography, with more details to come, likely in a MochiPing email.

That being said, production is likely to take around 3 months so the ESD is being moved slightly to mid-September, but we are going to begin production before the Pre-Order phase to try our hardest to get this dress into your hands before Halloween.

The Apothecary Dress caplet has been redone with smaller moth embroidery and the closure has been moved down. We have also approved the butterfly brooch that goes with the necktie. A few more adjustments ended up being requested before shipping, so this sample will be en route to us this week for a proper review.
