This garment is thoughtfully crafted with a recycled polyester outer layer for structure, durability, and flow, paired with a 100% cotton lining for breathable, comfortable wear. Together, these materials create a softly structured silhouette that moves beautifully while feeling gentle against the skin.
• Recycled Polyester (Outer – 100%): Provides structure, durability, and a smooth, fluid drape that allows the skirt to hold its volume and movement. Using recycled fibers helps reduce environmental impact while maintaining strength, wrinkle resistance, and long-term shape retention.
• Cotton (Lining – 100%): Soft, breathable, and gentle against the skin, enhancing comfort while helping regulate temperature. The cotton lining ensures a comfortable wear experience without adding unnecessary bulk.
Why These Fabrics?
• Recycled polyester supports durability, shape retention, and longevity while reducing reliance on virgin materials.
• Cotton provides breathable, natural comfort and a soft hand feel where the garment sits against the skin.
• Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors.
• Use mild detergent; avoid bleach and harsh chemicals to protect fibers and color.
• Hang or lay flat to dry to preserve shape and structure, or tumble dry on low if needed.
• To remove wrinkles, we recommend steaming for best results. If ironing is needed, use a low heat setting and iron inside out to protect the outer fabric.
With proper care, the Fleur Dress will maintain its structure, softness, and vibrant color, offering lasting wear while supporting more sustainable material choices.

The Fleur Dress is one of those designs that quietly became something much bigger than we ever expected. What started as a single sketch has grown into one of our most recognizable silhouettes-- now available in multiple colorways, but always carrying the same soft, romantic spirit it began with.
Here’s a bit of what went into making this piece…
On October 16th, 2024, Rae (the owner of Mochipan, hi! :D) posted a sketch to Instagram that would later become the Fleur Dress. At the time, it was simply titled “Lingerie Dress,” with a note describing it as “a flowy tulle or chiffon dress inspired by vintage lingerie.”
The concept leaned heavily into softness and delicacy, something airy, romantic, and reminiscent of vintage sleepwear.
Originally, chiffon was the intended fabric for the dress. However, during development, Rae came across a polyester fabric that completely changed the direction of the piece.
Instead of being light and floaty in the traditional sense, this fabric had a beautiful weight and structure that gave the dress more presence. It created a fuller silhouette, with movement that felt intentional and dramatic rather than delicate and sheer. That moment really defined what the Fleur Dress would become.
On January 19th, 2025, Rae shared a video review of the first sample on Instagram. In it, she talked about how this was already one of her favorite pieces she had created up to that point.
She highlighted a few details that would go on to define the final product:
the weight and fullness of the skirt, the elastic neckline, and the elastic waist band, all elements that made the dress feel both comfortable and visually striking.
The dress officially launched on March 15th, 2025, under the name Carmine Rose Dress. At the time, Mochipan was much smaller, and production relied on meeting a minimum order goal.
We needed to sell 15 units to move forward with manufacturing.
We reached that goal on March 22nd, 2025, and the pre-order closed shortly after on March 30th.
Since then, we’ve sold well over 10 times that amount. It’s been surreal to watch something that started so small grow into one of our most loved pieces.
As we began developing additional colorways (Carmine Rose, Dusty Peony, Golden Harvest, Olive Grove, and Obsidian Rose so far!), it became clear that the design itself needed a name.
We turned to our Discord community for ideas, and after a wave of floral themed suggestions, we chose “Fleur.” It felt simple, soft, and fitting for the silhouette.
From there, Carmine Rose became the name of the original colorway, and the Fleur Dress became the foundation for a growing collection.
The Fleur Dress didn’t start as a flagship product, but it became one. It represents a moment where intuition, experimentation, and community all came together to create something special.
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported this piece, whether you found us recently or were there when we were just trying to hit that first 15-unit goal. Mochipan wouldn’t be what it is today without you.
