It's time for another production update, and this one is packed with exciting progress! Several of our pre-orders, including the Spanish Moon Moth Dress, Mothman Dress, Goth Babydoll Dress, and the 4 new Moth Cardigans are wrapping up production and preparing to head to our warehouse over the next couple of weeks.
The Plague Doctor Tracksuit Limited Pre-Orders are doing tremendously well-- in particular the Long Jacket is down to a third of the stock ordered, so you might not want to wait too long to reserve yours!
We've also launched the new Chestnut Bloom Fleur Skirt and Bloomers for open pre-order! These autumnal Fleur Skirt and Bloomers variants are 100% cotton, and perfect for fall. A couple other launches are in the works for the end of this month, notably the Vintage Style Raincoat previewed on social media recently, so be on the lookout for more info coming soon!

We'd like to thank everyone who attended our Mega Sample Sale last week as well, and we hope those of you who snagged pieces love what you receive! As to why this edition of the Newsletter is running late, you can blame Community Manager Silver, whose trip back to the East Coast after assisting with the preparations for said sale put her down for the count on Sunday. We thank you for your patience!
Additionally, the combination of the Mega Sample Sale and a trip abroad on Rae's part has prompted a week and a half delay to the last day for voting in regards to the Interest Checks that have hit their 6-month deadline to reach 2500 votes. The new last day is now August 25th, after which Rae will be going through and making determinations about which designs will be purged. She reserves the right to move forward with development even if a design does not reach the threshold, but the only way to guarantee an Interest Check will be made is to get it across the 2500 vote finish line!

Pre-Orders
The Spanish Moon Moth Dress' Final Approved Sample
The Spanish Moon Moth Dresses are wrapping up production, and are going through quality assurance checks at this time. Our manufacturing partner is being extra thorough in this step of the process, as the organza inlays in this design are prone to issues due to complexity. 100 units have passed inspection already, and we expect the QA process to finish and for these dresses to ship to our warehouse on 8/22.
Allowing time for our warehouse to prep for shipment, fulfillment should begin between 8/25 and 8/30. We will be sending out a Last Chance for Address/Size Changes email blast this week, however if you're reading this and need to make a change to your order, please contact us at support@mochipan.com ASAP!

The Mothman Dress' Final Approved Sample
The Mothman Dresses are wrapping up production, and are going through quality assurance checks at this time. We expect the QA process to finish and for these dresses to ship to our warehouse on 8/23.
Allowing time for our warehouse to prep for shipment, fulfillment should begin between 8/25 and 8/30. We will be sending out a Last Chance for Address/Size Changes email blast this week, however if you're reading this and need to make a change to your order, please contact us at support@mochipan.com ASAP!

Official Product Photography of the Aurora Borealis Suit Vest and Jacket
While not the complete production run, we are happy to say our factory partner has officially shipped to our warehouse the first shipment of completed Aurora Borealis Jackets and Vests! The rest are expected to ship by the end of the month.
The Button Down Shirt and Slacks are both at our warehouse and ready to go, though most orders are waiting on the suit set.

The Mothman Cropped Jacket's Final Approved Sample (Factory Photo)
Production is progressing on the Mothman Cropped Jackets, and they are now in the sewing phase! Our current ESD range of September is looking very doable based on the rate of production.

Production has begun on the Peacock Moth Cropped Jacket, and embroidery is now underway. Our current ESD on this project is set for October 2026.

Embroidery has now finished on the Black Mushroom Skirt, meaning sewing can begin! The Mushroom Bloomers and Organza Bloomers are in the processing of cutting fabric, with the Mushroom Bloomers requiring the additional printed fabric. We currently estimate these pieces will be ready to ship in mid-October.

The Dawn & Dusk Jacket blew past our wildest expectations to become a best seller! Because of these, we purchased more units in anticipation of a restock after pre-order fulfillment!
Production has now begun on this jacket, and we currently estimate these pieces will be ready to ship in mid-October.

We discovered the fabric chosen for the Glorp Cat Cropped Jacket and Skirt Set was apparently prone to bleeding, with the white turning beige from dye transfer. We have since chosen a new fabric (with the same fiber content and look) that does not have this problem.
Due to this issue, production has had to restart using the new fabric, and the ESD has to be changed as a result. The new estimate places fulfillment in October.

The Plague Doctor Dress has officially begun production on all three pieces of the set. The factory knows our desire to ship these out in time for Halloween, and we will continue pushing them to work towards that goal. At this time however, we cannot make any guarantees, and recommend those with intentions of wearing it during the holiday have a backup plan.

Our new hat factory has finished embroidery the Bread Cap's prototype, and we hope to see the finished sample by the time the next newsletter rolls around.

Pre-Sample Pre-Orders (PSPOs)
The new Love-Me Dress fabric colors are much better, and far truer to the concept art! Once this sample arrives we can finally move forward past the color matching phase and review the fit. Our hope is that this factory has been able to solve the restrictiveness of the sleeves.
We have also determined that the corset made by our other manufacturing partner looks and feels more accurate to the concept art, and have made the decision to split development between the two factories, for the best outcome.
This project is definitely proving to be one of the most complex we've attempted, and unfortunately it's looking like the ESD is going to have to move again. Assuming it will take around a month and a half to work out all remaining kinks in the development process and a week for open pre-order, that puts production beginning in mid August.
Allotting roughly 3 months for production, the likely soonest fulfillment window now sits in mid-November. We know that is a significant jump, and we welcome any customer no longer interesting in waiting for this project to reach out to us at support@mochipan.com and we will happily refund your order.

Additionally, it's become clear that with the likely length of production on this project, a Summer fulfillment window is no longer tenable. The ESD has been updated to Fall 2026 to account for production time.
