Another two weeks, another newsletter. It's crazy to think we're almost at 50 of these written! Mochipan Pre-Order Updates Newsletter #48 is here with the latest news! Of note are some new photos of the Love-Me Dress with the updated fabric, and we think we've finally nailed the color!

The Sporty Coquette Dress has officially finished shipping, and is now considered an "in stock" item! The listing has been updated to reflect this. 

We've got a number of popular Moth Cardigans restocking tomorrow, including the ever popular Spanish Moon Moth Cardigan! The Death's Head Moth Cropped Jacket is also restocking now that pre-orders have been fulfilled. Check out the Restocks list below for a full list.

The Hydrangea Collection and Dawn & Dusk Jacket are both on open pre-order for only one more day! After tomorrow night, we will place the production order and these listings will transition to Limited Pre-Order status, subject to the possibility of selling out. Thank you to everyone who's supported @Thaisibean's Jacket! Y'all have blown our expectations out of the water, and we couldn't be happier! Don't wait if you want this one, as inventory is not likely to last!

Lastly, don't forget to vote for your favorite designs on the Interest Checks page! We will be reaching the first 6 month milestone which signifies the end of the voting period for more than half the ICs, and a distressing amount of designs have not yet reached the 2500 vote threshold, so if you've been meaning to vote, now is the time!

Our new hat factory is has found a fabric to match the Bread Cap's approved prototype, and is creating their own sample to ensure it matches what we promised to our customers. We are still waiting on an update from this factory on the latest progress, so we will update this newsletter once we have new information.

We now have photos to show of the Vintage Storybook Dress red variant. We're also happy to announce this dress will have pockets! The latest update from our factory has production finishing in about 5 weeks, right in line with our estimate that these dresses will ship in late-August or early September.

The Goddess Sleepwear Collection faced a delayed start when we discovered the blue fabric was out of stock, but the fabric has now been secured, and production has begun. We currently estimate these styles will be ready to ship in mid-September.

The four newest Moth Cardigans have begun production, and we expect them to take roughly 2 months. This puts the fulfillment window in late-August to early-September, just in time for cooler weather to begin thinking about rolling in.

The Woodland Shorts are about 85% shipped, with any remaining unfulfilled due to address issues or order processing system errors. We are in the processes are manually sorting through these final orders and getting the rest shipped.

The Aurora Borealis Jacket and Vest are continuing through the production process, and currently in the embroidery phase. The Button Down Shirt is at our warehouse and ready to go, though most orders are waiting on the suit set. The Slacks have been finished and are now en route to our warehouse as well.

Production is progressing on the Mothman Cropped Jackets, and they are now in the sewing phase! Our current ESD range of September is looking very doable based on the rate of production.

Production has begun on the Peacock Moth Cropped Jacket, and fabric printing is underway. Our current ESD on this project is set for October 2026.

The Spanish Moon Moth Dress' Final Approved Sample

The Spanish Moon Moth Dresses are officially in production! These dresses are currently in the embroidery stage, and based on the current progress, we can tighten up our estimates to a shorter range of mid to late-August.

The Mothman Dress' Final Approved Sample

We discovered the fabric chosen for the Glorp Cat Cropped Jacket and Skirt Set was apparently prone to bleeding, with the white turning beige from dye transfer. We have since chosen a new fabric (with the same fiber content and look) that does not have this problem.

Due to this issue, production has had to restart using the new fabric, and the ESD has to be changed as a result. The new estimate places fulfillment in October.

Pre-Sample Pre-Orders (PSPOs)

 

The new Love-Me Dress fabric colors are much better, and far truer to the concept art! Once this sample arrives we can finally move forward past the color matching phase and review the fit. Our hope is that this factory has been able to solve the restrictiveness of the sleeves.

This project is definitely proving to be one of the most complex we've attempted, and unfortunately it's looking like the ESD is going to have to move again. Assuming it will take around a month and a half to work out all remaining kinks in the development process and a week for open pre-order, that puts production beginning in mid August.

Allotting roughly 3 months for production, the likely soonest fulfillment window now sits in mid-November. We know that is a significant jump, and we welcome any customer no longer interesting in waiting for this project to reach out to us at support@mochipan.com and we will happily refund your order.

We've determined the distressed hem on the Love-Me-Not Dress is prohibitively expensive from the standpoint of both time and cost, and have made the decision to change the detail to the above lace trim, dyed to match the burgundy of the dress fabric. Our factory is now working on adjusting the pattern's hem to account for this change.

Final Approved Mask Sample

We are unbelievably excited to announce the Plague Doctor Dress sample has been approved! The photo shoot just wrapped up, and our photographer truly outdid herself this time. 

We reviewed the XL sample, and have made some fit changes to ensure the plus sizes are not too tight. We will likely be officially launching this project with size charts and fiber content in the next 2-3 weeks, so stay tuned!

That being said, even if the sample's fit is approvable, it's become clear that with the likely length of production on this project, a Summer fulfillment window is no longer tenable. The ESD has been updated to Fall 2026 to account for production time.
