The Mothman Cropped Jacket's Second and Likely Final Sample

 

The next Mothman Cropped Jacket sample is finished and en route to us! The base color has been darkened to better match the sketch and buttons have been changed to red as well. Pending review, we expect this sample to be approvable. 

Once received and reviewed, we will be opening a limited 1 Week Pre-Order window for this jacket, and sending a MochiPing email to inform customers of the limited pre-order and requesting all size/address changes be made at that point. Once the pre-order closes, we will immediately submit the production order.

Based on how production has gone for the Death's Head Moth Jacket, we are expecting a realistic estimate of 3 - 4 months for production.

As with the previous projects, we welcome customers to reach out and let us know if the rest of your order has been waiting on this PSPO, and we would be happy to ship your items in advance of these jackets at no additional cost.

The Peacock Moth Cropped Jacket Print Strike-Off

 

The Peacock Moth Cropped Jacket Sample is progressing, with a very promising print strike-off received this week. While color can be hard to accurately review in photos alone, these strike-offs have us hopeful for a fast approval process.

As with the Mothman Cropped Jacket, we are setting expectations for production to take 3 - 4 months. Assuming this jacket requires one additional sample beyond the one currently in progress, this puts our estimated shipping date between July and August.

If this timeline does not work for you,  we welcome customers to reach out and let us know. We'd be happy to refund your order or ship in advance any items in orders waiting on these jackets at no additional cost.

The Spanish Moon Moth Dress’ most recent sample is very promising, and we believe one more sample will get us across the finish line. We have submitted the requested changes to aim for a knee length fit, and are also changing the spots on the bottom section and neckline to a lighter shade to more closely match the sketch.

The embroidery factory has solved the quality issues with the embroidery and translucent fabric overlay we mentioned last newsletter, and our manufacturing partner is aiming to send us this sample in the next two weeks. We expect this to be the final sample, and after a limited 1 week pre-order window, production can begin.

As far as production goes, they estimate this run taking 2 months. To pad out the timeline and account for any unexpected obstacles, we are setting a production estimate of 3 months, which puts the ESD between June and July.

The Mothman Dress' First Sample

The Mothman Dress' Second Sample, Pre-Assembly

The Mothman Dress' newest sample has finished embroidery and is currently being assembled. We are much happier with the fabric color/texture, embroidered details, and scalloped neckline based on the above progress photo.

We expect this sample to finish and ship to us within the next two weeks as well, which puts this project back in line with the Spanish Moon Moth Dress, and we have updated the ESD to match.

Progress continues on the Love-Me-Not Dress sample, though we don't yet have new showable photos. In particular, we are experimenting with how to improve the fabric gradient, and prevent the distressed hem threads from mis-matching the rest of the fabric.

The Glorp Cat Cropped Jacket and Skirt Set samples (in both color variants!) have been reviewed and approved for mass production! We are working to get a proper photo shoot achieved in roughly the next two weeks.

Once photos are uploaded, we will be moving this set from its current PSPO status to a 1-2 Week Pre-Order Window. In Depth Size Charts will be uploaded and available once this happens and we will announce the Pre-Order Window via social media, Discord, emails, and a blog post. Please stay tuned for more information coming soon!

Our factory partner in charge of this project has given a 2.5 month estimate for production, which we are padding out to 3.5 months. Accounting for the time for photo shoot and pre-order window, this puts our likely ESD between July and August.

The newest Plague Doctor Dress sample has been reviewed, and is much closer to approval now! The twill fabric chosen for the overdress gives the piece the structure lacking in the previous sample and the new faux leather fabric feels much higher quality. 

The next (and likely final sample) is currently in the embroidery stage. We will be lightening the color of certain embroidery details to provide better contrast, adding stitching details to the faux leather adornments for a more stylish look, and changing the construction of the Plague Doctor Mask.

The Plague Doctor Dress, and the other designs that utilize a Plague Doctor Mask, are an incredibly ambitious style, working with details that are all new to us. As such, to ensure we deliver a final product that will meet expectations, the new Estimated Shipping Date range spans a longer time frame that the other PSPOs. While this current sample is not yet complete and still missing a few details, we did not want to keep you waiting any longer for progress shots.
