Production on the Woodland Shorts (Brown) has begun, and our late March estimated shipping date is still looking good! We encourage you to double check the size charts and reach out to us early (support@mochipan.com) if you need to update your size or shipping address.

The Woodland Shorts (Green Colorway)

We've received both color samples of the Woodland Shorts (Green), and are confident we'll be able to approve one of them as the final sample. As such, we will be uploading pictures to the listing soon. 

Once pictures are uploaded, the Woodland Shorts (Green) will officially move from its current PSPO phase to a 1-2 week long Pre-Order period, after which the listing will close and production will begin. We will formally announce this via MochiPing email and a blog post, so please be on the lookout.

Production on the Honey Bee Summer Gown is officially underway, and our late March estimated shipping date is still looking feasible! The Death’s Head Moth Cropped Jacket production is underway, and printing has begun. As this step in the process has caused issues recently, we are watching closely to head off any potential setbacks. We will continue to keep you updated throughout this process.

The Peacock Moth and Mothman Cropped Jackets

Development continues on the Peacock Moth and Mothman Cropped Jacket samples. We expect to see construction on the first samples in early February, so more news should be forthcoming in the February 15th Newsletter.

As with the previous projects, we welcome customers to reach out and let us know if the rest of your order has been waiting on this PSPO, and we would be happy to ship your items in advance of these jackets at no additional cost.

The Spanish Moon Moth Dress’ most recent sample is very promising, and we believe one more sample will get us across the finish line. We have submitted the requested changes to aim for a knee length fit, and are also changing the spots on the bottom section and neckline to a lighter shade to more closely match the sketch. The digital pattern for the new length should be finished this week, meaning start of construction on the next sample is close at hand.

The Mothman Dress' current sample is disappointing to say the least. The fabric colors are too light, the bust shape needs work, and the scalloped neckline was lost in translation, among other things.

We have since changed the fabric to that of the Honey Bee Summer Gown (85% Rayon, 15% Linen), as we've already tested this fabric and know it to be high quality, a good texture and drape, and ideal for printed patterns. Sampling utilizing this new fabric and implementing our other requested changes will commence this week.

Sewing will begin soon for the Love-Me Dress' next sample. In an effort to solve the issue of constricting sleeves/arm holes, as well as our customers feedback that the main fabric looks "flat", we have chosen a new fabric with moderate stretch and a crepe-like texture. As this design is complex, with a large amount of details, we expect to have more to report in the February 15th Newsletter.

Embroidery has concluded on the next Plague Doctor Dress sample, and sewing began earlier this week. As this is a complex design with many parts, we anticipate construction to finish in early February.

The Plague Doctor Dress, and the other designs that utilize a Plague Doctor Mask, are an incredibly ambitious style, working with details that are all new to us. As such, to ensure that this style is not rushed, that a photoshoot can be factored into the schedule, and that mass production is given the realistic time needed, the current estimated shipping date rests at mid-June. Please feel free to contact us if ever this timeline does not work for you.

Early-Sample of the Aurora Borealis Suit Vest and Jacket

The Aurora Borealis Jacket's latest sample has been approved for the base design, and the Vest and Tie are also very likely to be approved once reviewing is completed. 

We have seen the first strike-offs for the Purple variant, and found it not to be vibrant enough. We will be submitting changes for the printing, though it may be after Chinese New Year when we see the next iteration.

As stated before, we have been developing a button down shirt and pants to complement the Vest, Jacket and Tie set. Those will be available for purchase later on.
