Howdy MochiFam,

October is shaping up to be an absolutely ludicrous month for new launches, and we've got some especially exciting news for everyone who's been eagerly awaiting the Apothecary Collection! After a long and sometimes bumpy development process, the Apothecary Dress is finally ready for its official debut! Rae is with our photographer today and tomorrow for the collection's photoshoot, and we're thrilled to announce that the entire collection will launch October 15th, with Open Pre-Orders running through October 30th.

Alongside the long-awaited Dress, we're releasing the Apothecary Coat, Sweater, Cargo Pants, Skirt, and Ita Bag with matching enamel pins! This has been one of our most anticipated projects since artist Luna's original design went viral, and we can't wait for everyone to finally see the finished pieces!

And that's far from everything we have planned this month! Yesterday brought a number of new arrivals to our catalogue, including the Blueberry Pie Dress and Cherry Pie Dress, both available in stock and ready to ship, along with the Fleur Bloomers in Winter Tartan! We also restocked the Apple Pie Bag, Blueberry Pie Bag and Backpack, Cherry Pie Backpack, and both versions of the Pumpkin Patch Cardigan (Full Length & Cropped). If you missed yesterday's releases, there's still stock left so don't worry.

Then, on October 20th, we're launching the Wildberry Wine Collection, featuring a Romper, Jumperskirt, Fleur Skirt, and matching Fleur Bloomers! Between these releases, the Apothecary Collection, and our new Moon Phase Bomber Jacket in Purple, October is likely to be one of our busiest launch months ever. Community Manager Silver's wallet is shaking right there with y'all!

We've also got some great fulfillment news! The Aurora Suit Set, Mothman Dress, and Mothman Cropped Jacket are all approximately 95% fulfilled, with the Plague Doctor Tracksuits close behind at 90%! We're so happy to finally have these projects in customers' hands, and want to thank everyone who stuck with us throughout their development.

Further down the production line, we've made some encouraging progress on the Hydrangea and Sunflower Carousel Collections! The Hydrangea Button Down Shirts and Overalls have now been fulfilled for orders not waiting on other pre-orders, and the Hydrangea Dress is progressing faster than anticipated. The Sunflower Carousel Dress and Crop Top have also surprised us with how quickly they're approaching completion, and both are now expected to begin fulfillment around the end of October!

We do have a few updated manufacturing timelines to share as well, including changes to the Glorp Cat Set, Plague Doctor Dress, and Love Me/Love Me Not Dresses. We'll go into more detail about these projects and their revised estimates below.

The Dawn & Dusk Jacket is now going through the sewing process. Based on the current progress, it's looking like fulfillment is going to begin in the first half of November rather than in October due to the higher quantity we ordered (to ensure we can do a proper restock for those who missed out!).

If you missed the pre-order, keep an eye on the Calendar, as we will be restocking this unique jacket later this year!

The factory handling Peacock Moth Cropped Jacket production has let us know about 40% of the units have finished embroidery, but that progress is still very slow going. It seems the fabric we chose is not cooperating well with the style of embroidery the design calls for. 

Our manufacturing partner seems to be prepping us for the potential there will be another delay, but until we know more, we will be staying with the late-October to mid-November estimate.

If this timeline does not work for you,  we welcome customers to reach out and let us know. We'd be happy to refund your order or ship in advance any items in orders waiting on these jackets at no additional cost.

The Glorp Cat Cropped Jacket and Skirt Set production is progressing without any further problems, and it's now looking like the White Variant Jackets have caught up to the Skirts, and will finish in the latter half of October. As the Black variant had to change fabric last month, those pieces are about a month behind the White variant.

Each time we request a new update, the manufacturer's estimate seems to be a week later than the last update; choosing an estimate based on a moving target is difficult, and we genuinely do want to give our customers as accurate an Estimated Shipping Date as is possible, so we're going to set the Black variant ESD further into December based on the expectation our manufacturing partner is giving us an idealistic estimate.

While we push our factory to complete production in a more timely manner, we'd rather assume a later fulfillment estimate and be pleasantly surprised at the end than continue incremental delays.

We've gotten a more detailed update this week regarding the Vintage Storybook Dress, and have determined that the dyed fabric was found to bleed color onto the white side panels. We've since changed fabrics to one that does not have this issue, however this situation has set us back about a month.

Our manufacturing partner now estimates production will be finished in late October. Based on the new timeline, we anticipate fulfillment to begin in early November. If this new estimate does not work for you, please contact us at support@mochipan.com, and we'd be happy to assist.

The Strawberry Bag by Nina Fresa is currently in production, and expected to begin fulfillment in mid-November.

The Hydrangea Collection is in various stages of production; all but just a few of the Overalls and both Button Down Shirts have been shipped if the order is not waiting on another pre-order!

The Raincoat should be finished towards the end of this month, which puts fulfillment to begin in early-November. and the Swimsuit is at the print factory at the moment.

The Dress has actually progressed faster than expected, and is now estimated to begin fulfillment beginning of next month!

The Sunflower Carousel Collection surprised us this week! While the Skirt and Pants will likely not be finished until the beginning of next month, the Dress and Crop Top will be ready for fulfillment sooner than we thought!

The Sunflower Carousel Dress is towards the end of production, with some units having already been shipped to our warehouse. Fulfillment should now begin in roughly the next two weeks! 

The Crop Top is also nearly done, and currently undergoing quality assurance checks. Our manufacturing partner didn't include information regarding the Sun Hat, but we don't expect production to take long for that project.

The new Fleur Skirt and Bloomers in Chestnut Bloom are now in production, and based on the latest update regarding factory capacity, this set is now expected to begin fulfillment in the first half of December.

The various pieces of the Plague Doctor Dress set are progressing nicely through production, though our factory's national holiday break was longer than expected, and looks to be pushing expected fulfillment into December. 

The overskirt is currently under embroidery, while the capelet just finished and has moved onto sewing.

We are so close to the official launch of the Apothecary Dress! Rae is actually with our photographer for the Apothecary Collection photoshoot both today and tomorrow, and we couldn't be more excited to announce the collection is launching this Thursday, October 15th for a 2 week Open Pre-Order, before switching to Limited Pre-Order status.

In addition to the Dress, this collection will also feature a long masculine coat, casual sweater, cargo pants, long skirt, and an Ita bag with matching pins! 

This PSPO was one of the first of our artist Luna's designs to go viral, and the development process has been both a bumpy learning experience and an incredible journey, and we hope the wait will feel worth it once you see the official product photography!

We're absolutely thrilled with the reception of our new Vintage Raincoat, and have begun sampling this style in black, as it was a popular request! Production is now underway, and we expect this style to begin fulfillment in early-December.

The current hat factory has determined they are not able to achieve the gradient on this hat, and as such we are speaking to a number of other factories to find a manufacturing partner confident in their ability to replicate our original prototype.

Pre-Sample Pre-Orders (PSPOs)

 

We are absolutely thrilled with the fit of the new factory's Love-Me Dress sample! The colors look amazing in person, and even more exciting-- the issue of the restrictive sleeves has been solved! Considering this issue was a major factor in our decision to move the project to a new factory, this is cause for celebration!

Project Manager Emma is quite happy with the fit, and says it is surprisingly comfortable to wear, considering the style. We are currently working with the factory on a number of small changes to be applied to the plus size sample. 

The manufacturing partner in charge of the corset should be sending us the latest sample now that they are back from national holiday, and we will be ensuring both dress and corset layer appropriately.

Due to the national holiday our factory observes, we have not yet seen new progress on this project over this last Newsletter period. We will also likely need to reevaluate the current ESD, and will be discussing this further during this week's staff meeting. The finish line for this PSPO's development is so close, and we don't want to whiff it right at the end, so we hope you can bear with us as we make sure this dress set is as good as it can be.

Project Manager Emma also reviewed the Love-Me-Not Dress sample, and is happy with the fit for the most part, but found the length to be too long compared to its sister dress. A new sample is to be made with a shortened skirt length to better match both the concept art and the Love-Me Dress.

We're very pleased with the way the custom dyed lace trim turned out as an alternative to the hem distressing present in the concept art. The fabric color and quality is also improved from the previous factory's sample. We are currently working with the factory on a number of small changes to be applied to the plus size sample.
