These past two weeks have seen tremendous progress on many projects, and the Mochipan Pre-Order Updates Newsletter #42 has got you covered with all the latest!
The Honey Bee Summer Gowns begin shipping tomorrow! Like our other long standing PSPOs, tracking numbers must be added to Shopify manually, so please give our team some breathing space while we work through spreadsheets full of tracking numbers. The Woodland Shorts (Green) are next in line, with shipping beginning middle of the first week of May. Manual tracking number entry applies here as well.
We also officially approved 4 more PSPOs this week: the Mothman Dress, Spanish Moon Moth Dress, Glorp Cat Cropped Jacket, and Glorp Cat Tech Skirt! The Moth Dresses' Pre-Orders close May 3rd, while the Glorp Cat Set closes May 10th.
Fewer restocks than last newsletter to report, but some exciting new launches more than make up for the lower quantity of restocks on the Calendar! On May 5th, both our highly popular Garden Overalls and Cottage Jumperskirt (Green & Wine) will be restocking, while a Pre-Order opens for the Storybook Dress that same day! Photos and details will soon be added to the listing! All of our restocks happen at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT, so set your alarms!

The Final Approved Sample of the Woodland Shorts (Green)
The Woodland Shorts (Green) faced a slight delay with the pre-shrinking wash step of the process taking longer than expected. Our manufacturer on this project is wrapping up the final stages of quality checks now, and will be shipping these shorts to our warehouse in the next few days. We are adjusting the ESD by about a week to account for this.
We will be sending a MochiPing email to those holding this pre-order towards the end of this week, signaling Last Call to update sizes or shipping addresses, though you are welcome to reach out to us before then!

The Final Approved Sample of the Honey Bee Summer Gown
Ever fashionably late, the Honey Bee Summer Gown's quality checks took longer than expected, and we are only just finished preparing for fulfillment, which is set to begin tomorrow.

Our manufacturing partner estimates production will take 2 and a half months for these sets, so to be on the safe side we have set the ESD for 3 and a half months to account for any unexpected issues or delays.

The Final Approved Sample of the Death's Head Cropped Moth Jacket
The Death’s Head Moth Cropped Jacket is going to see fulfillment split into stages-- a shipment of roughly half our production run is currently en route to our warehouse, while the other half is progressing through the embroidery phase.
So as not to make our customers wait longer than necessary, we will begin fulfilling orders, oldest first as always, from this first shipment of jackets, but the ESD below will reflect our estimate for the second half of our production run.
Please note: we will be sending out a Last Call MochiPing email for size/address changes to those currently holding this pre-order. However, if your order is not sent out in this first wave of fulfillment, please do not be concerned, as it will be fulfilled when we receive the second half of our production run.

Based on how production has gone for the Death's Head Moth Jacket, we are expecting a realistic estimate of 3 - 4 months for completion. The Spanish Moon Moth Dress' Final Approved Sample
We are thrilled to announced the latest sample of the Spanish Moon Moth Dress has been approved, and this project has officially moved from PSPO to a shortened Pre-Order window, closing on next Sunday, May 3rd at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT.
Product photos and size charts have been uploaded to the listing, and we will be sending out a MochiPing email in the next few days to those who hold this pre-order, asking them to double check the size chart and make any size/address changes necessary.
Production will begin shortly after the Pre-Order closes. Due to the complex nature of this dress's outer layer's construction, we are going to pre-emptively estimate a longer timescale of 4 months for this production run. Of course, fulfillment will begin sooner if this is an overestimation.

The Glorp Cat Cropped Jacket and Skirt Set photoshoot was a roaring success, and stunning product photos from our photographer (in an arcade!) and size charts have been uploaded to the listings! This set has officially graduated from its PSPO status to a 2 Week Pre-Order Window, ending May 10th at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT.
We will be sending out a MochiPing email in the next few days to those who hold either of these pre-orders, asking them to double check the size chart and make any size/address changes necessary.
Our factory partner in charge of this project has given a 2.5 month estimate for production, which we are padding out to 3.5 months. Once the pre-orders end, production can begin, putting our ESD in late Summer.

The Peacock Moth Cropped Jacket First Sample
The Peacock Moth Cropped Jacket has finally seen a fully completed first sample! The above sample is currently en route to be reviewed. Depending on how the sample review goes, we may be able to approve this version, with any minor necessary changes implemented during mass production.
In the event this sample is approvable, the 1 week Pre-Order window will likely be opened before the next Newsletter. This will be announced via email and social media post, but please also feel free to keep an eye on the listing or Launch Calendar for those dates.
As with the Mothman Cropped Jacket, we are setting expectations for production to take 3 - 4 months. Tentatively assuming this sample is approvable, a late July ESD should be more concrete.
If this timeline does not work for you, we welcome customers to reach out and let us know. We'd be happy to refund your order or ship in advance any items in orders waiting on these jackets at no additional cost.

Work continues to be done on Love-Me Dress project! Our factory pivoted to reworking the pattern for this dress via a second mockup, and while we don't yet have showable photos, we hope you like this close up of the new lace chose for the sleeves and inner layer of the dress.

The next Plague Doctor Dress sample is progressing nicely. We have lightened the color of certain embroidery details to provide better contrast. The next (and likely final sample) will soon starting the sewing phase, while the faux leather details are being worked on at a separate factory partner.

Apothecary Dress XL Sample (Incomplete)
Our customers and community made their voices heard and we listened: a majority of y'all overwhelmingly did not like the stripes on this Apothecary Dress sample. Valid critique, and it's important to us that the majority is satisfied with this beloved design.
To that end, we scrapped the stripes and have instead chosen a solid color sage green linen/linen blend with the hope that the texture will better mirror how the sketch was perceived. Embroidery using this new fabric is set to begin this week.
