Pre-Orders

Pre-order items are eligible for cancellation, but pre-order cancellations are subject to a 15% Pre-Order Cancellation Fee.

This is because the funds received from pre-order purchases very quickly go into production costs, samples, shipping, and various expenses to keep Mochipan running smoothly and sustainably. As cancelling an item that's already in production can create issues with stock and result in various information corrections within our system, the Pre-Order Cancellation fee helps us to cover any extraneous labor costs caused by cancelling a standard pre-order.

If you need to change your size or shipping address, please let us know immediately and we can apply this change for you.

Pre-sample pre-orders are eligible for cancellation or change at any point until they enter the "Pre-Order" phase (which simply means there is a real sample of the product).

As a rule of thumb, if the product has photos of the real-life sample, it has likely entered the pre-order phase and cost-free cancellation is no longer possible. You are welcome to change what size or color you want by contacting us at mochipanofficial@gmail.com. Please keep in mind we can typically only accept changes before the item enters bulk production, in which case your size will be locked in. Further changes beyond that point may result in a 15% service fee.

Delays can occur due to to various reasons, such as factory delays, shipments being held, etc. While we do our best to provide an accurate timeline, we ask for your understanding in cases that are out of our control.

With that being said, in any instance of a delay we will be sending out notification via our newsletter updates. You can also view these at the footer (bottom portion menu) of our website, or by navigating to menu > updates > update blog.

In instances of a very significant delay, we will offer all customers options for refunds or changes to their order. Please check the update blog to see specifically what's being offered.

Pre-ordering means purchasing an item before it is officially released or in stock. You secure your order in advance, and the item is shipped to you once it becomes available. This allows small businesses, like Mochipan, to produce original products without a giant budget.

Read all about pre-sample pre-orders here.

This is a unique pre-ordering system trademarked by Mochipan. This simply refers to a period in the product's lifespan in where there are no photographed real samples of the design, but due to it's overwhelming popularity we have put it up for pre-order for those willing to believe in our vision.

All pre-sample pre-order items have a very forgiving refund policy, and you can cancel at any time during the pre-sample pre-order phase.

The estimated delivery date for pre-ordered clothing varies depending on the item. Check the product description for the expected ship date. Please note that these are not guarantees, and due to delays or unforseen circumstances the project may be delayed a little.

You can also check the calendar as well as the update blog for additional information.

Pre-ordering allows you to secure popular or limited-edition items. It's a great way to guarantee you get the size and style you want. This also helps us reduce waste during and after production, preventing any excess materials and products from entering landfills. With most of the pre-orders on Mochipan, the style will be stocked after the pre-order period ends, but only in a limited quantity. To ensure you secure the size and style you want, we highly recommend joining the pre-order. During the pre-order phase, you will also be getting a discount on the product.

Please review the refund policy here.

Pre-order items that do not fit are eligible for exchanges. However, please keep in mind that stock for specific sizes is extremely limited, and exchanges might be impossible due to this. If the issue is found to be due to customer error, the customer will likely need to pay for the return shipping and, potentially, a restocking fee. All items must be unworn and unused (trying them on is okay), and have original tags and packaging. Please try on any items that may come into contact with your crotch with underwear or shorts, and avoid trying things on while wearing makeup if you think you may need to exchange it.

In stock items are eligible for refunds and exchanges with similar guidelines. If it is found to be customer error, there will be a return shipping fee as well as a restocking fee.

Please check this calendar for the current release schedule.

Please note:

This calendar contains only confirmed items. There are still plenty of items in the works behind the scenes, and once they are ready we will be adding them to the calendar.

If the item you're interested in is an "Interest Check" item, you can use the voting widget on the product's page to help support it so that it gets made :)

Shipping

We do not typically ship orders until every product in the cart is ready to ship!

If you'd like to place an order with a wide range of products that are all expect to ship at different times, but still want to receive any ready-to-ship items ASAP, please reach out to us at "support@mochipan.com". From there, we'd be happy to work out a means of shipping some items ahead of others at a small fee.

Orders take about 3-5 days, on average, to process.

Standard Shipping: 1-2 weeks delivery time.

Sustainability & Ethics

Sustainability is central to how we operate—but we also believe in honesty over perfection. No manufacturing process is 100% sustainable, and claiming otherwise would be misleading. What we can promise is that we’re constantly working to minimize our impact and make intentional choices that support the planet.

Here’s what we’re doing right now:

  • Biodegradable Packaging
We use 100% compostable or biodegradable packaging in 99% of our orders. These materials break down naturally without leaving behind harmful microplastics.

  • Bulk Shipments to Reduce Emissions
Instead of frequent small shipments, we consolidate our inventory into larger, less frequent bulk deliveries. This significantly lowers the carbon footprint associated with transport and warehousing.

  • Carbon-Conscious Shipping Partners
We choose shipping providers that offer carbon offset programs, even if it means higher operational costs. Reducing emissions across the logistics chain is worth the investment.

  • Use of Recycled and Low-Impact Materials
We prioritize recycled polyester, deadstock fabric, and are expanding into certified organic cotton, bamboo, and Modal to reduce reliance on virgin fibers and water-intensive crops.

  • Small-Batch Production
All our items are made in limited quantities, helping us avoid overproduction and waste—a major issue in the fashion industry.

  • Minimalist, Long-Lasting Design
We focus on quality and versatility so our pieces stay in your wardrobe longer, which is one of the most sustainable choices any brand (or person) can make.

Are you continuing to improve?
Always. Sustainability isn’t a fixed point—it’s a process. We’re continuously looking for ways to do better, from exploring closed-loop production to partnering with more traceable, regenerative textile suppliers. Our commitment is to stay transparent and intentional as we grow.

We're actively working on integrating certified organic cotton, bamboo, and Modal—fibers known for being softer on the planet and people. These natural options:

  • Require fewer chemicals and water.

  • Are biodegradable.

  • Can be ethically sourced to avoid slave labor and environmental harm.

At Mochipan, ethical manufacturing is one of our core values—not a marketing angle. We carefully vet our production partners and take deliberate steps to ensure that the people making our products are treated with dignity, paid fairly, and work in safe environments.

Here’s what we do to uphold ethical standards:

  • Partner With Certified Factories
We only work with manufacturers that have passed third-party audits and carry certifications such as WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) or BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), which enforce standards around labor rights, safety, and wages. We are currently in the process of beginning our own factory, and as such these certifications are not quite yet available but we will be posting them the moment we have them in hand.

  • Regular Oversight
Our team conducts routine check-ins and stays in close contact with our production partners to maintain transparency and accountability throughout the supply chain.

  • No Tolerance for Forced or Child Labor
We explicitly require that all facilities prohibit forced, child, or prison labor, and we verify this through documentation and audits.

  • Low Minimum Orders, Higher Wages
By keeping our production runs small and controlled, we give factories room to maintain humane working hours and fair compensation—rather than racing to meet mass production quotas.

  • Ongoing Supplier Evaluation
We don't set it and forget it. As we grow, we reevaluate partnerships and invest in improving supply chain visibility to align with the highest ethical and sustainability standards.

We use recycled polyester because it offers a more sustainable alternative to both virgin polyester and conventional cotton. Unlike virgin polyester, which is made from fossil fuels, recycled polyester is created from post-consumer plastic waste like water bottles and discarded textiles. This helps:

  • Reduce landfill and ocean pollution

  • Lower greenhouse gas emissions

  • Conserve energy and resources

Compared to conventional cotton, recycled polyester uses:

  • Up to 90% less water

  • Less land

  • Fewer chemicals

  • Less energy during production

It also performs better in some ways: recycled polyester is durable, lightweight, moisture-wicking, and holds color longer—making it ideal for activewear and long-lasting basics. While no fabric is perfect, recycled polyester helps us extend the life of existing materials and reduce our reliance on virgin resources.

We use recycled polyester because it offers a more sustainable and responsible alternative to both virgin polyester and conventional cotton. It’s made from post-consumer plastic waste—like bottles and discarded textiles—which helps reduce landfill overflow, ocean pollution, and the need for fossil fuel-based virgin materials. It also uses significantly less water, energy, and land than traditional cotton production.

While cotton is often marketed as the more "natural" choice, conventional cotton farming is one of the most resource-intensive and chemically treated agricultural systems in the world. It is also heavily reliant on slave labor. These are facts many brands leave out when promoting cotton as a sustainable option.

We're not here to greenwash or make surface-level claims. Our focus is on choosing materials that make the most meaningful impact—balancing sustainability, performance, quality, and affordability. Recycled polyester helps us achieve that right now, and we’re actively working toward expanding our range to include more certified natural fibers that are better for people and the planet.
